Musings - Jan. 2021

January 5, 2021

I think the large majority of us are happy to turn the page on 2020. The words, “deadly pandemic” were repeated at every opportunity. Burnings in the streets stoked fear. Those who put their trust in a politician or the political system were sadly disappointed. In a year when we desperately needed hugs, weddings, church gatherings, and reasons to celebrate, it was all ripped away from us.

So was 2020 just a bad year? Or is it a portent of things to come? I’m writing a trilogy to shed light on God’s prophecies of what must take place before Jesus’ return. I take some liberties in creating a backdrop to a storyline that is playing out in today’s headlines. My intent is for the reader to get caught up in the story, to keep turning the pages, and to enjoy the ride.

Yes, I have a message, and it’s not hidden. My belief that we are living in the foretold end-times has compelled me to write these stories. There is a parable in the Bible about seed being cast on various types of soil. I view my books as seed. My hope is that the reader will take a sober look at current world events through the lens of scripture.

Kevin's Notes

By Kevin Kurtz February 1, 2021
We’re about to turn the page for January. Christmas and the New Year celebrations are in the rearview mirror. A new political regime is in power. Covid still rages. And though someday you and I may have a chat on my personal opinion on politics and the state of the world, I doubt you’ve clicked on this newsletter for that information.
